Facial cleansing can be so nourishing.

Dr. Hauschka’s facial cleansing provides your skin with the benefits and power of natural ingredients. Medicinal plant extracts, high-quality oils, rose water, almond flour and medicinal clay relieve and revitalise your skin. Our cleansing products are suitable for all skin conditions: whether that is our Cleansing Cream, Cleansing Balm or Soothing Cleansing Milk for basic daily cleansing, or our Clarifying Clay Mask or Clarifying Steam Bath for a deep cleanse. Our Cleansing Balm is also suitable for people with beards.

If you tend to have dry or sensitive skin, we recommend that you use Dr. Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk morning and evening. This gentle emulsion can also be used for removing make-up. Specially for the eye area, we have developed an Eye Make-up Remover which removes even waterproof products gently and effectively.

Facial cleansing in the morning, facial cleansing in the evening.

Facial cleansing can be a personal ritual, a brief moment of self-reflection before your day begins or night falls. In the morning you cleanse the skin of its own metabolic products and in the evening you remove dirt particles, sweat and make-up. It is important to remove make-up in the evening so that your skin can breathe freely. Otherwise, it is unable to regenerate itself. The delicate skin in the eye area especially, as well as the eyelashes, may be irritated by make-up if it is not removed. Dirt particles can get in your eyes and cause irritation. 

Double Cleansing: facial cleansing in two steps.

We recommend double cleansing, as make-up and sun-protection products are most effectively removed with oil-based products, whilst a water-based cream is more suitable for removing sweat, dust and dead skin cells. Start with Dr. Hauschka’s Soothing Cleansing Milk to free your face of any make-up, and to gently nourish the skin. For the second cleansing step, choose between our Cleansing Balm, with its refreshing gel-to-milk texture, or our classic Cleansing Cream. For a more intensive cleanse, we recommend two additional steps: first our Clarifying Steam Bath, which opens pores and dissolves any impurities, followed by our Clarifying Clay Mask, which excess oil and soothes skin.

Does air pollution put strain on the facial skin?

The air is polluted by smog, particulates and exhaust gases. These also settle on our facial skin, which then suffers. These kinds of stress factors are an everyday occurrence in the city. But strain is also put on the skin beyond congested urban areas. This is why thorough facial cleansing is an important anti-pollution measure.
